SeoulTested is a reader-supported blog that sells nothing itself. Retailer affiliate programs, and possibly advertising later, are meant to pay for it. This page explains how affiliate links work and what they do not change.
What an affiliate link is
Links from our reviews to a retailer, such as a product page at YesStyle, Olive Young, Stylevana, Soko Glam or Amazon, may be affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, that retailer may pay us a small commission. You pay the same price you would pay going to the store directly.
Not every outbound link pays. Links to ingredient databases, studies and news articles are there as sources and earn nothing.
What commissions don’t change
Our picks and rankings come from the research described on our How We Review page: ingredient lists, published studies and dermatology sources, and what buyers report. A product does not move up a list because a retailer pays more for it, and a product without an affiliate program can still be the top pick. The store we link is the one we took the price from, and commission rates play no part in that choice.
Sponsored and gifted content
If a brand ever pays for a post or sends a product for free, we will say so at the top of that post, mark it #ad, and mark its links as sponsored. Paying for coverage does not buy a verdict, and a sponsored post can still say a product isn’t worth it.

If a link or a recommendation looks wrong to you, write to hello@seoultested.com or use the contact form. Subha reads every message. Our privacy policy covers the cookies a retailer may set after you click through.
